MARY ANN OSTRANDER STUDY GROUP

This study group will attempt to study/challenge each other with different ways to weave the Mary Ann Ostrander pattern as listed in Marguerite Davison - Handweaver Pattern Book on page 146.

Study group members are expected to weave a sample for each study group member and one for the Guild library. The samples should be a minimum of 4" x 4" and of any material the member selects. Members are also encouraged to weave a completed item and show it at the March exchange/study group completion meeting. The resultant notebook will be part of our Guild display at the next New England Weavers Seminar in July 2005.

The Mary Ann Ostrander draft is included below so that we can all start from the same draft. Please note a challenge: there are some errors in the draft below. See if you can discover these before our 1 st meeting. We will discuss these at the meeting. Please study this draft prior to the meeting and come with questions, ideas, and suggestions. Members of the group will be available to assist you between the months of November and February; so do not be afraid to ask.
